Author: Sarah J. Maas Pages: 648 glorious pages *sniffs* (hardcover) Published Date: September 1st, 2015 (my birthday) Genre: YA fantasy Series: Yes, Throne of Glass #4 ***Possible spoilers for the previous books in the series Celaena has returned to Adarlan to fight against the source that killed or 'changed' her loved ones, She came back to fight for her cousin, her good friend who is trapped in a 'prison'. Celaena has embraced the fact that she is Queen of Terrasen and her identity as Aelin. She is going to fight her people and whether she survives this fight is something to find out. Manon Blackbeak is also in this novel and it shows her struggle of whether to trust her loved ones or not. *** Let's start shall we? First, the fact that we can finally see Aelin the way she is supposed to be (the queen) is just absolutely fantastic. The book had so many twists and I can't! The feels, the romance, the ACTION!!! When Dorian's parts cam up in the novel, I had

Update!

Two posts in one day???  OMG Ansu what happened to you? Like I mentioned on my Facebook page, I want to experiment with the blog a little more, and I was genuinely scared of spoiling people on their books. So I am going to start of by giving 2 sections into a review from now. The first half - just the plot line The second half, will be me fangirling and this part might have some spoilers in it. (If you don't follow me on social media, do it! I am awkward and I am pretty sure you all need some rays of awkwardness in your beauteous lives). I'll try not to ruin the books for you guys xD P.S. a huge shout out to the people who are reading my blog in the US, Ukraine and India I am glad you can deal with me! <3 (I am pretty sure I am the only one who views my blog from within Canada). Stay awesome!!! Xoxo BookNerdSue

Fangirl Friday ~ Jessethereader

Today, I have another vlogger for you guys to check out! His name is Jesse and I think he is one of the funniest booktubers out there. His videos consist of him reviewing novels as well as doing arbitrary videos in which he does book related tags and much more.  His bookshelves and hauls are to die for; in certain videos he shows these elevated bookcases and he has shown those shelves for the Mortal Instruments series reviews and it is also absolutely amazing! I personally love how creative he is at doing things like that. Genuinely a fun guy for book reviews! And let's not forget that he is a living fanboy , they are precious as heck and we all know it guys! So check Jesse  out and let me know if you like his videos or not. BookNerdSue

Bookish Monday ~ Heir of Fire

Author: Sarah J. Maas Pages: 562 (Hardcover) Published Date: September 2nd, 2014 Genre: YA Fantasy Status: Book 3 of Throne of Glass Series *** This book is the third installment in the series and was fairly enjoyable. I have to say when the book started off, it seemed ridiculously slow with the new POVs introduced. There were different people like Celaena, Chaol, Rowan, Manon, Dorian etc. who had a POV. While this was enjoyable at times having Manon's view of things just seemed annoying to me because I never really cared about her character. I found it hard to get through the book until I was sucked into it and just couldn't let go of it for all those hours. I have to say around the last 200 pages of the book I was dragged into it for hours late into the night keeping away from my studies.  The romance in the previous books are not as important this time and I really liked that element because I wanted the series to be more focused on the assassination/action etc. *** SPOILER A

Bookish Monday ~ Fangirl

Author: Rainbow Rowell Pages: 438 Published Date: September 10th, 2013 Genre: Young adult fiction Status: Stand Alone *** The novel talks about a girl Cath. She has a twin sister by the name of Wren (Catherine - Cath and Wren, get it?) Cath is a fangirl like a lot of us out here, but she is obsessed with Simon Snow. She basically writes fanfictions on this particular character, the book talks in depth of how she can't let go of this character whereas her sister seemed to move away from it. Their dad seems to be in a broken piece, and Cath is more worried about him than her mother. While Wren is ready to move on, Cath can't seem to let go so fast. Personally, I wasn't the biggest fan of this novel. Just because I felt like I knew Simon more than I knew Cath which isn't what you want out of a book. A lot of people did enjoy this book immensely but sadly I wasn't one of them. The characters did not have that much of a depth to me. Also, the part where Simon was talked

Fangirl Friday: Dan and Phil

I AM BACK! Sort of! Did I hear Dan Howell and Phil Lester? Yes they are cute! But that is not the point of this post now is it?  They are youtubers who just post videos about their lives and they did release a book called 'The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire". I haven't had the chance to read the book yet, but anyone who has ever loved the both of them seemed to really enjoy the cringe worthy book that they are holding! They are genuinely nice people and have become quite a bit famous. They make humorous videos - Dan (making fun of himself most of the time) and Phil (just a ball of cuteness). Yes they are 24 and 29 but they are really creative at what they do. Phil came up with many tags that is youtube famous now, namely, the 7 second challenge, tumblr tag etc. If you are feeling down and want a little bit of  cheer up, I highly recommend watching their videos! Quick Update

Just wanted to update you guys on what is going on. I had quite a few stressful weeks in University and did not read anything whatsoever! And it didn't help that we went to NY on the weekend of the blizzard (we almost died, I have no idea how I am still alive). That was a very scary experience. I am indeed upset about not reading in the last few weeks but I messed up my schedule by procrastinating! (How fun!!!) I should be back on track in two weeks hopefully. Sorry! :3 BookNerdSue
